We are a team of professionals who are deeply rooted in our communities in Southwestern Indiana.  Together, we have over 130 years of experience in the financial services industry and continue to give back to our community by staying involved in a variety of organizations.

David E. Oldham, CWA®

Director, Financial Advisor

David earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana State University and joined Baird in 1993 after 20 years in the electronics business.  With 25+ years of experience, David focuses on helping clients who are near or in retirement.  David enjoys developing a personal relationship with clients as he learns about their families and desires while crafting a tailored plan to accomplish those goals.

David and his wife, Janet, reside in Princeton.  They have two children and four grandchildren.    

Committed to the Community

David dedicates his time to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Finance Board and the Knights of Columbus.  He has previously served on the Princeton Fire Territory Board, Little League Board of Directors, and was a past president of North Gibson (IN) School Board. 

Jim Pearson, CWA®

Jim has been a Financial Advisor at Baird since 1992 and is a graduate of the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.  In 2004, Jim earned the Chartered Wealth Advisor designation.  Being deeply rooted in the community, Jim put his clients first and provides financial advice while building a personal, long term relationship with each client. 

Jim and his wife, Sue, reside in Washington, IN and have three children.  They enjoy serving their church, traveling, and fishing.

Jim has dedicated his time to Midwest Natural Gas Corp, the Community Foundation Alliance, the Washington Indiana Redevelopment Commission, and served as a past president for both Washington and Vincennes, IN Kiwanis. 

Cathy White, CWA®

Cathy joined Baird in 1996 and became a licensed Financial Advisor in 1998.  She is a Chartered Wealth Advisor and has completed the Wealth Planning Essentials program at the Wharton School of Business.  Cathy is passionate about educating and empowering women to take control of their financial well-being.  Her mission is to help clients reach their financial goals so they can focus on what really matters. 

Cathy and her husband, Steve, reside in Princeton, Indiana.  They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Cathy dedicates her time to Hillside United Methodist Church and Psi Iota Xi.  She has previously served on the Vincennes Education Foundation, Vincennes Civitan Club, Leadership Knox County, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the Harmony Society. 

Matt Monroe, CFP®

Matt graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Finance in 2010.  He began his career in the financial services industry at Baird in 2017.  Matt holds the Series 7, Series 66, and the Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license.  Matt specializes in helping people prepare for and transition into retirement.  His mission is to make sure every client feels confident in their decision to retire.

Matt and his wife, Erin, reside in Haubstadt and have two sons.

Matt has dedicated his time to the United Way of Gibson County, the Gibson County Community Foundation, and Fort Branch Community Pride. 

Jacinda Hughen, CFP®

Jacinda joined Baird in 2016 and graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Management and Finance.  She earned her Certified Financial Planner designation in 2019.  Jacinda is our team’s full-time financial planner and runs our Women’s Wealth Series with Cathy.  She is dedicated to ensuring our clients are on the right path to achieving their personal goals.

Jacinda and her husband, Matt, reside in Princeton with their two dogs.  She enjoys staying involved with 4-H livestock projects, traveling, operating her small business, and attending sporting events. 

Committed to the Community

Jacinda is a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene and is involved with the Gibson County Horticultural and Agricultural Society and the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce.  She has previously been a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Robyn Pepper

Robyn started her career in the financial services industry with Baird in 1995.  She received an associate degree in Accounting from Lockyear Business College and is Series 7 licensed.  Robyn oversees our client review process in addition to monitoring trades. 

Robyn and her husband, Mark, reside in Princeton.  They have two daughters and one granddaughter.  Robyn is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoys traveling, attending college sporting events, walking their dog, and spending time with her daughters. 

Erin Smith

Erin earned an associate degree in Marketing and Business Management from Wabash Valley College.  She has worked in the financial services industry since 2001 and joined Baird in 2016.  Erin specializes in enrolling clients in Baird Online, new accounts, and maintaining account information for individuals and retirement plans. She is also a Public Notary for the state of Indiana. 

Erin resides in Owensville with her husband, Eric.  She is a member of Vertical Church and the local Mustang car club.

Karen Thompson

Client Assistant

Karen joined Baird in 2016 after serving time as the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director for nine years.  With her valuable experience, she oversees our client events, assists with the financial planning process, and asset movement such as distributions and deposits. She is also a Public Notary for the state of Indiana. 

Karen and her husband, Bruce, reside in Fort Branch.  They have three children and nine grandchildren.  Karen spends her free time reading and camping with family and friends.
